This is what "JDM" Cars mean ?
JDM is the abbreviation for Japanese
Domestic Market, this sentence's meaning is to refer to Japanese vehicles and
parts designed to suit the Japanese market regulations and the Japanese car market.
When we talk about JDM cars we go directly to Japanese vehicles from many ranges such as compact cars, Kei
cars, mid-size cars, and performance cars.
Toyota is one of the biggest
manufacturing car companies in the world, and they have a big name in the JDM cars industry. The Toyota
Supra is one of the most famous JDM cars, it’s been produced from 1978 to 2002, and the
fifth generation of the car was produced in March 2019. I’m going to talk about the
fourth generation of Supra the A80, it has a 3-liter turbocharged engine 5
or 6 manual gearboxes with great horsepower from 220 to 325 and there is a
twin-turbo model in this generation of car.
The Mitsubishi had produced a big car for the JDM and a famous
one also, the Mitsubishi
Lancer Evolution or the EVO, it was manufactured by Mitsubishi Motors
from 1992 to 2016, the EVO is very powerful even when it came with only 4
cylinders engine. All models use two-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engines
and an all-wheel-drive system with a power of more than 440 horsepower.
There are so many powerful and unique JDM cars you can think about, like a Mazda EX7, Toyota Supra, Nissan Skyline, Subaru Impreza, Mitsubishi Evolution, Honda Integra (North America), Nissan Silvia, and other more. This type of car has its own popularity, love, and fame between car lovers and collectors, for too many years, there have been some crazy tunings either in Japan or in the United States of America and other countries, I can mention Toyota Racing Development (TRD), Evolve Tuning, Litchfield Motors and other more. If you don’t know this information I’m going to tell you about it without any hesitation, $2.5 million is the price of the most expensive JDM car ever sold, the Toyota 2000 GT Carroll Shelby tuned model of 1967. If you want to know anything about JDM cars leave a question in a comment.
